One of the best authentic yakitori places we've been to.

Small place, so make reservations or go with small group.

Just order a whole bunch of small orders and down them with a cup of Sapporo!

We especially like the following
- Kalbi (Korean BBQ one)
- Chicken wings (salty! and yummy)
- Duck and scallion

We're not big pizza critics.  But this new place in Mountain View is a gem.  Apparently it's a chain in East Bay, but we haven't seen it at this side of the bay or in peninsula.

Great place, friendly staff and you can't beat the deal of 2 pieces of pizza and a fountain drink for $5.95! Score!

I especially love the "Mahalo" on the trash bin, cute :-)

Oh, besides the pizza, we actually tried a few salad, surprising great!  And the apple pizza for dessert was also pretty yummy

Being in Cupertino, iRestaurant gives a bad rep for good Chinese food.

Upon entering and seated by the staff, it was obvious that they're all still new and are trying to get the routines down.  Even placing the huge-ass-biggest-Chinese-restaurant-menu I've even seen on the table was awkward.  But that's fine, since the restaurant is brand new so all staff are rookies, we'll cut them some slack.

What really annoyed us next was the waitress telling us over and over again to order the special-of-the-day entry.  And asking us several times if we wanted to order some drinks.  No, I don't go to Chinese restaurant to have $5 cocktails.

Then comes the food... Wow, we're Taiwanese so we've had plenty share of Chinese food in our lives.  But I don't think we've ever had such greasy food ever!  One dish (fried eggplant) was so greasy that we left 2/3 of the plate and told them not to bother to bag it.  Yeah, when was the last time you didn't want to take leftover home from a Chinese restaurant?

Bleh... never going back again.  There are much better Chinese food places in Cupertino and around.

Dear incompetent, rude waiter,

First of all, please do tell your (new) sushi chef that his rice skills suck!  I've been a Miyaki customer for more than 10 years and ever since the chefs left to open Ariyaki in around 2004 or 2005, I've tried hard to stay with you guys, but tonight did it.  

You were rude, did not get us tea.  Left empty plates on the table while we bused our own plates to the other empty table.  

And when customer leave you 12% tip (which is not bad consider how rude you were).  Please take that as a hint and do not shake your head in disbelieve as you walk away.  

Oh yeah, we never waited for the tea.  We walked up to sign the credit card receipt ourselves and walked out of Miyaki for the last time!

This location in Cupertino (by Stevens Creek and Blaney) seems to be cursed, let's see if Arya can lift that.

In the years I've lived in Cupertino, this location seems to be a revolving door for restaurants.  I can remember at least 3 restaurants that have opened and closes there.

IMHO, Arya might just have a chance.

The owner (I think he was the owner) or the manager was very friendly and seems to get a lot of Persian customers (not that I am one).  But we could see him mingle with some natives.  The food seems to be authentic, but a bit on the pricey side.  They also have Italian food, but we wanted to try Persian specialties, so stuck with that.

The waitress was very friendly and professional, but the water staff seems a bit clumsy, we cut them some slack as the restaurant is new and they're probably just all trying to get the hang of it.

Chicken Firenze ($14.95).  Chicken stuffed with spinach with creamy sauce, steamed carrots, broccolis and potato.  

Combo plate, chicken & beef kebab ($13)  Good price for the value.  No veggie though, just a grilled tomato.

Lamp Kebab.  Our friends got this and they seemed to like it.

Oh yeah, and they have free refill on the sodas.  For a semi-nice place like this, I was pleasantly surprised to find that.

Lots of people have told us this place is good, sure it!

Worth it, one of the better ones in the SJ area.

- Special chirashi $19: they have 3 levels of chirashi, regular, special & extra special.  It's above average, but the best chirashi IMHO is still the Kitsho in Cupertino

- Veggie tempura dinner $17: perfect tempura and sauce.  Only place we've seen green bell pepper in veggie tempura

- Agadashi Tofu $7: perfectly fried, good sauce

Oh yeah, and this is one of the places we've been to that has the yellow-kind of ginger (the good kind), instead of the pink ones

good quality coffee, we always just get the house coffee, cheap!

This place has good buffet, but very crowded!  It's rare to see seafood at Indian buffet, but they always have some kind of fish dish.  Lots of curry dishes (of course) including a curry egg.  Which is kinda unique, but not extraordinary, just hard boiled eggs in curry.

During Friday lunch time, they try to crowd too many ppl into the place.  The lines become long and the wait for Naan is impossible.  We sat in the back room and they even had to take out more tables for extra patrons.  

I think the food is good, but they tried to cram too many ppl in there during lunch time (especially Friday)
